Something not working?
Meridiem is built by one person, and you'll be emailing that person directly. Most questions are answered below; anything else, write in.
Setting up
The board is empty, or says no arrivals
The board only shows departures you can physically still catch, so late at night it is genuinely empty. During service hours, an empty board usually means the board is placed somewhere with no nearby stops — open Settings and tap the map to move it, or search for a stop by name.
It won't use my location
Location is optional and only ever used on your device. If you declined the prompt and want to change your mind, go to the Settings app → Meridiem Now → Location, and choose While Using the App. You can also skip location entirely and place the board manually.
Do I need my own data token?
No. The app fetches live arrivals through our own connection by default. If you'd rather it talk straight to 511 with your own free token, request one at 511.org/open-data/token — they email it to you instantly — and paste it into Settings.
Which cities work?
Right now, the San Francisco Bay Area, using 511 SF Bay open data. More regions are coming; the open-source core can already be pointed at other agencies.
Meridiem Pro
I paid but Pro isn't showing
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so make sure the device is signed in to the same one you bought with.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions, and cancel there. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase and never renews.
Refunds
Apple processes all refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is genuinely broken, email us too — we'd like to fix it.
The beta
The current TestFlight build is designed for iPadOS and runs the full-screen wall display in landscape. It installs on iPhone, but you will get the iPad layout. A build designed for iPhone is on the way.
Still stuck
Email [email protected]. Tell us which device and which version you're on — the version number is at the bottom of the app's Settings screen — and what you expected to happen. Replies usually come within a couple of days.
Bugs in the open-source core can also be filed on GitHub.
